Capital Summertime Ball with Barclaycard will return to Wembley Stadium in June.

Breakfast hosts Jordan North, Chris Stark and Sian Welby will announce the acts signed up to the huge event on Monday and Tuesday live on air from 7am. Summertime Ball will take place on June 16 with a host of the world's biggest talent.

Jordan North, who joined as the new host of Capital Breakfast earlier this month, will host his very first Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard at Wembley Stadium. Capital Breakfast’s Jordan North, Chris Stark and Sian Welby said: “We’re so excited that Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard is back!

"The energy, the music, the crowd - it's going to be off the chart and we’ve got some of the world’s biggest stars lined up for our Capital listeners. Make sure to set your alarms and listen to Capital Breakfast on Monday to hear the first set of Ballers!”

Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday at 9am following the line-up announcements. Jordan joined Capital earlier this month after stepping away from BBC Radio 1.

The I’m A Celebrity runner-up’s departure from BBC was announced on X, formerly Twitter, in February. The statement read: “Radio 1 will be saying goodbye to Jordan North.

“Jordan has been behind some of the most hilarious and entertaining moments on air over the years and has been a constant source of inspiration for younger presenters. Thank you for everything."

After his new gig at Capital was announced, Jordan said: “I am beyond excited to be joining Global and to wake up the nation every morning on Capital – I can’t wait to start working with the amazing team here and get stuck in, to create the most fun and entertaining breakfast show.

“Getting to host Capital Breakfast has always been a dream of mine and it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I simply couldn’t turn down. Big love to [departing host Roman Kemp] who has been a class act throughout it all.”

Jordan has proved to be a huge hit with Capital listeners as they branded him the "perfect replacement" for beloved Roman Kemp, who stepped down from the show after 10 years last month.

Roman thanked his listeners for "saving his life" during his time hosting Capital Breakfast while he battled depression. He said: "I've had moments on this show where my whole life outside of work is completely down the pan. There were times where I didn't want to be here anymore. There have been moments where my life outside of this room has been the worst thing ever.

"I know a great life, but in my head that's how it felt. I knew that all I had in my life were these four hours in my day where I could come to work and in those four hours I knew that I was going to laugh and have fun and be surrounded by people that get me and those four hours and those people that I'm talking about include you - the listeners. You have no idea how much you have helped me."
