Chelsea have announced teenage defender Genesis Antwi has signed a three-year contract with the club, including the option of a further two-year extension.
During the 2024/25 campaign, Antwi made 19 appearances for the Blues' Under-18s side, scoring twice, before moving up to the Under-21s where he made a further 12 appearances.
The 18-year-old has stuck with Calum McFarlane's side at the beginning of the new term and was the scorer of Chelsea's opening goal of their UEFA Youth League 3-2 victory over Bayern Munich.

His talents have also been recognised by Enzo Maresca, who named Antwi amongst the senior squad's substitutes for the Premier League win against Leicester City at Stamford Bridge in March of last season.
Not long after, he was rewarded with his first two senior appearances in the UEFA Europa Conference League. Antwi was a substitute against FC Copenhagen in the round of 16 and again against Djurgarden at the semi-final stage.
Most recently he featured in the pre-season friendly against Bayer Leverkusen at Stamford Bridge.
And so, the Blues believe they have a serious talent on their hands who could continue his rise through the age groups - which began at Under-12s level - and one day stake a claim for a place in Maresca's squad.
Therefore they have agreed a deal that runs through to 2028, though could be extended to 2030 with the option that has been included in the agreement.
Antwi posted to Instagram a picture of himself holding up the current Blues home shirt outside of the club's academy building at Cobham. He wrote: "Grateful to sign a new deal [blue heart emoji]."
Antwi has also established himself on the youth international stage. He began representing England at Under-16 level before switching his allegiance to Sweden, his country of birth, the following year.
As of 2025, the teenager has represented the country up to Under-21 level. Earlier this month he made his debut at right-back in an U21 European Championships qualifier against Armenia.
