Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria is quitting Hollywood as she and husband José Bastón are said to be desperate to avoid 'Hollywood cycle'.

The couple, who are parents to five year old son Santiago, are said to be concerned the youngster will be 'sucked into the Hollywood cycle' if they don't escape. They're said to be so desperate for a move they've slashed the price of their Beverley Hills mansion, as a source revealed "they are just ready to get out".

The couple already own a home in Marbella where they plan to live permanently as they move away from the Hollywood fame and scene.

A source told DailyMail.com: "Eva and José are leaving Los Angeles for good and have put their home up for sale again. They took it off the market in June but recently relisted it for $4 million less in February because they are just ready to get out. They are already shipping their belongings there and this is not something that they will change their mind on."

The source added the couple want to raise Santiago "surrounded by nature and beauty and not be sucked into the whole Hollywood cycle". Eva is said to be "so excited" by the permanent move, and to feel like she has "had everything that she wanted in Hollywood".

The couple's Beverley Hills mansion is on the market and has recently had the price slashed from $22.8 to $18.9 million. Eva and José are swapping the eight bedroom luxury pad for a six-bedroom, seven-bathroom mega mansion in Marbella, which they snapped up last year. The luxury home also features an indoor pool, sauna and a state-of-the-art home gym.

Eva excitedly showed off the Marbella property in Hello magazine in January, when she explained: "The first time I came to Marbella, two decades ago, it was love at first sight. I said to myself: 'Some day I'll live here.' Later, we set up the Global Gift Foundation, and this is where Antonio Banderas, my best friend María Bravo and I held the first gala."

Speaking about finding the house, Eva continued: "Five years ago, I said to Nico, who's very clued-up about property: 'When you see the right place, let me know.' I viewed a few places, but nothing was quite what I wanted. Finally, in early 2023, this house came on the market. It needed refurbishing, but it had just the size and location I was after. So, taking advantage of the fact that I was in Barcelona filming, I came down and bought it that same day."

Eva has Spanish citizenship and two years ago, she was given the honorary title 'Dame' due to her family roots tracing back to the Spanish city of Oviedo.
