NEET UG 2025 AFMS BSc Nursing: If your rank in NEET UG 2025 is not good for MBBS, then there is no need to panic. Female candidates still have a golden opportunity to do BSc Nursing in the top medical colleges of the country. There is a great opportunity for female candidates to get admission to a BSc Nursing course under the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) of the Indian Army. The government not only bears the entire expense of the students selected in this course during their studies but also gives a stipend. Eligibility and Selection Process
Only female candidates can apply for this course. It is mandatory to qualify for NEET UG. Also, there should be a minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in 12th. The age of the candidates should be between 17 to 25 years.
In the selection process, first, there will be shortlisting based on NEET score. After this, an interview, physical fitness test, and medical examination will be conducted. Admission will be based on the final merit list.
Where will the studies be done and what are the benefits?
Studies will be conducted in the country's prestigious Army Medical Colleges like AFMC Pune, INHS Ashwini Mumbai, CH (EC) Kolkata, CH (CC) Lucknow, CH (AF) Bangalore and R&R Hospital Delhi Cantt. After the course, it will be mandatory to serve in the Army Medical Service for 5 years.
This course is a great option for studying at government expense, stipend, officer rank and secure career if MBBS is not available.
