iPhone 17 Series display leaks: iPhone 17 series launch is expected this September, igniting excitement with Apple’s most significant display overhaul in years . Rumoured to include four models—iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, and a sleek new 17 Air—the lineup is poised to expand screen sizes across the range, introduce slimmer bezels, and bring ProMotion (120 Hz displays) to every device.
Apple is also working on a redesigned Dynamic Island UI, a refined camera layout, and the powerful A19 chipset, promising both aesthetic flair and performance gains. With rumours pointing to a larger standard model and lasting color updates like Sky Blue, the iPhone 17 series appears ready to redefine the iPhone experience. Stay tuned for the full reveal this fall.
iPhone 17 Series launch date (Expected)Apple usually follows a consistent launch schedule, and the iPhone 17 Air is expected to be revealed between September 11-13, 2025. All iPhone 17 models have thinner bezels
Apple has only provided incredibly tiny bezels on the Pro models up to this point. However, this year's four anticipated models—including the standard iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air—may have thinner display margins. This would be a change from the iPhone 16 series, which only had smaller bezels on the Pro and Pro Max.
According to reports, the normal iPhone 17 will also have a 6.3-inch display, similar to the iPhone 16 Pro from the previous year. Apple may find it simpler to provide thinner bezels on all models as a result of this modification.
It could be possible to revamp Dynamic Island
Changes to the Dynamic Island are also mentioned in the leak, and they could affect all iPhone 17 models. Although specifics are unknown, the reference to "UI" raises the possibility that Apple will modify the software's appearance or functionality instead of implementing a significant hardware overhaul.
A smaller Dynamic Island on the Pro Max model was alluded to in earlier leaks, perhaps as Apple pushes toward under-display Face ID in the future.
Support for ProMotion across all models
At the moment, Apple's Pro iPhones only come with 120Hz ProMotion screens. With the iPhone 17 series, that might change. It is anticipated that all four models would include LTPO OLED displays, which enable more fluid scrolling and improved battery life. Although it's uncertain if Apple will add always-on capabilities to non-Pro models, these displays may also enable it.
