New Delhi [India], May 7 (ANI): The Republican Party of India (Athawale) national president and Union Minister Ramdas Athawale on Monday wrote to the Chief Election Commissioner, Rajiv Kumar, urging action against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for making "false" allegation that RSS and Prime Minister Narendra Modi want to abolish the Constitution to end the basic rights of Dalits and deprived sections of society.
"I would like to draw your kind attention that Congress leader - Shri Rahul Gandhi is warning the general public during the election campaign recently in Telangana on 4 th May, 2024 and earlier also in other states that if BJP returns to power at the Centre, it will "tear apart" and "throw away" the Indian Constitution which granted rights to the poor, Dalits, SCs, STs, OBCs communities, etc," Athawale wrote in his letter.
"According to Shri Gandhi, BJP & RSS want to end the basic rights of the Dalits and deprived sections of the society by abolishing the Indian Constitution. If we look at the statements of Shri Rahul Gandhi in the last few days, it becomes clear that Rahul Gandhi is trying to tarnish the image of the Central Government by making false allegations against the Modi Government," he added.
He said in his letter that contrary to the "false" allegations of Rahul Gandhi, PM Modi gave the highest respect to the Indian Constitution and is working to carry forward the ideals and ideas of Babasaheb.

"In this regard, I demand that strict legal action as per law be taken against Shri Rahul Gandhi regarding the fabricated and false allegations against Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi ji and the RSS at the earliest," he said. (ANI)
