Google has started rolling out its AI Mode in Search to users across India. First introduced in June as part of an experimental Labs feature, AI Mode is now becoming a standard part of the Google Search experience no sign-ups required.
AI Mode enhances the traditional search process by offering detailed, AI-generated responses that aim to go beyond simple links. Users can expect comprehensive answers across a wide range of queries, whether they're learning something new, tackling complex tasks, or simply exploring a topic in depth.
The rollout will appear over the coming days in the form of a dedicated AI Mode tab within Google Search, including in the Google appâs search bar. Initially available in English, this feature brings together several interactive elements from the Labs version. Users can type, speak, or use images through Google Lens to prompt AI responses, which come with relevant links and the option to ask follow-up questions for deeper exploration.
The feature is designed to support a more intuitive and enriched search experience, integrating AI tools directly into the userâs everyday queries from simple facts to more layered research and how-tos.
With this move, Google is expanding access to its most advanced AI-powered search experience for a wider Indian audience.
