The Staff Selection Commission ( SSC) has declared the final result for the Central Police Organisation (CPO) recruitment 2024-25. A total of 5,296 candidates have been recommended for appointment to Sub-Inspector posts in Delhi Police and the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), including 455 female and 4,841 male candidates.
The results of 94 candidates are currently withheld due to ongoing court cases, and another 26 candidates face withholding for other administrative reasons. Additionally, 30 candidates have been debarred from the process due to malpractice.
Selection process
The recruitment process included written examinations, medical examinations, and document verification. SSC had shortlisted 22,244 candidates,1,885 females and 20,283 males, for medical examination. Final selection and allocation were made based on merit and candidate preferences across Delhi Police and various CAPFs.
Vacancy and recommendation details for Delhi Police and CAPFs
In the Delhi Police, a total of 61 vacancies were filled, distributed across categories as follows:
*Note: 4 OBC and 4 EWS candidates qualified at the UR standard.
For the CAPFs, the recruitment details are as follows:
*Note: 37 EWS and 20 OBC candidates qualified at the UR standard.
Medical and document verification conducted in September
Shortlisted candidates underwent medical examinations and document verification between September 15 and September 27. These processes were carried out by CAPFs to ensure candidates met all required standards. Based on merit and preferences, candidates were assigned to posts across Delhi Police and CAPF units including BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBPF, and SSB.

According to the SSC, some results remain withheld due to legal proceedings, while a number of candidates have been debarred for malpractice. These actions are part of the commission’s ongoing efforts to ensure transparency and fairness in the recruitment process.
