Amroha: A distressing incident has come to light from Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, where a 26-year-old student, driven to despair by blackmail, took her own life by hanging. The deceased, identified as Ruchi from Dehra Milak village, was preparing for competitive examinations, including the Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) exam.
According to reports, after having dinner on Thursday night, Ruchi went to her room. When she did not come out by late Friday morning, her family members went to check on her. Receiving no response after knocking on the door, they looked through the window and discovered Ruchi hanging from the ceiling. The family promptly informed the police.
Police Discover Suicide Note
During the investigation, the police found a suicide note written on the deceased’s hand. In the note, Ruchi held an individual named Arun responsible for her death.

The Entire Matter
The ordeal began when Ruchi was travelling to college with someone on a bike. Arun, an individual from the village, secretly recorded a video of the incident and used it to blackmail her, threatening to share it with villagers.
He repeatedly pressured Ruchi, at times demanding a physical relationship and at others extorting money. When Ruchi refused to comply with his demands, Arun shared the video in the village’s WhatsApp groups, causing her significant public humiliation. Distraught by the embarrassment, Ruchi took her own life.

The police have sent the body for a postmortem. On the complaint of the family, a case is being registered against the accused Arun and his brother Sushil. The police have said that the accused will be arrested soon after the investigation
