Every now and then, a trip with your girl friends is much-needed; however it’s not easy to match everyone’s calendars, and so, a staycation seems like the simplest of affairs.

On a recent staycation, my girl friends and I checked into Kismet Villa, a Dutch Gothic-inspired home tucked away in the quiet village of Moira. Although the villa is newly built, its soaring ceilings, arched doorways, and open, airy design give it the atmosphere of a much older, storied home.

The fully serviced villa sits on a peaceful plot, surrounded by trees and the sound of birds. A large private lawn, outdoor seating, and a shaded swimming pool make it a natural space to relax.

We spent hours lounging by the pool, swimming, and hanging out in the outdoor sit-out — a perfect setup for a laidback with the girl gang.

SERVICE WITH A SMILE

The living room is spacious, with comfortable sofa seating, ideal for catching up over long conversations. The elevated dining area next to it seats eight, and was taken care of each morning by the attentive staff, making it easy to start our day slowly.

Throughout the stay, the villa’s staff were always on hand whether it was setting up tea by the lawn or helping with small requests, striking the right balance between attentive and discreet.

ROOM WITH A VIEW

Kismet accommodates six guests across three main bedrooms in the house and one additional guest can be accommodated in a small outhouse.

The ground floor bedroom, painted a soft yellow, features a king-sized bed, a foldable extra bed, a seating area, workstation, and an en suite bathroom with a shower and seating nook.

Upstairs, two bedrooms — one in blue and ivory tones and another in ivory hues — open out to balconies with views of the surrounding greenery. Both offer similar amenities as the ground floor room.

BEST OF EVERYTHING

One of the best parts of the stay was the easy indoor-outdoor flow: long swims, lazy afternoons in the sit-out, and unhurried indoors, all blended into one seamless experience.

Located about 20–30 minutes away from the beaches and restaurant hubs of North Goa, Kismet Villa offers the convenience of proximity while staying tucked away in the quieter lanes of Moira.
