Indian Armed Force PC: The Indian Army on Sunday (May 11, 2025) gave full information about Operation Sindoor launched after the Pahalgam terror attack.
Operation Sindoor Update: Under Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army has once again demonstrated its strategic capability by carrying out precise and effective attacks on terrorist bases within Pakistan. Indian Air Force Director General Air Operations Air Marshal AK Bharti told in a press conference on Sunday that India did not suffer any damage in the attack by Pakistan on May 7, as the Indian Air Defense System was fully active and vigilant.
When asked about the casualties suffered by the Pakistan Army, DGMO Lt Gen Rajeev Ghai said, "I have mentioned 35-40 casualties on the LoC and please remember that when Operation Sindoor was launched, the response of the Pakistan Army was also on the infrastructure of the Indian Army or the Indian Armed Forces. Our targets were terrorist hideouts and later when they launched air intrusions and air operations on our infrastructure, we used heavy weapons. They have definitely suffered losses but that is still being assessed." Navy was ready to attack Karachi
Vice Admiral AN Pramod said, "After the cowardly attacks on innocent tourists by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, the Indian Navy's carrier battle group, surface forces, submarines and aviation assets were immediately deployed to sea in full combat readiness. We tested tactics and procedures at sea during the firing of multiple weapons in the Arabian Sea within 96 hours of the terrorist attack. Our forces remained deployed in a decisive role in the North Arabian Sea with full readiness and capability, so that we could attack selected targets at sea and land, including Karachi, at our chosen time." 'Were ready to take any action'
He further said, "The forward deployment of the Indian Navy forced the Pakistani Navy and Air units to remain in a defensive posture, mostly inside the ports or very close to the coast, which we constantly monitored. Our response has been balanced, proportionate, non-aggressive and responsible from day one. As we have been saying, the Indian Navy is deployed at sea in a credible deterrent posture to respond decisively to any hostile action from Pakistan."
Where and how much damage was done in Pakistan
The Indian Army said that the Air Force carried out the attack in Muridke and Bahawalpur, while the rest of the Army took action on the remaining terrorist bases. Air Marshal AK Bharti said that the Indian Air Force carried out a missile attack on a major terrorist base in Bahawalpur, Pakistan, in which the camp was completely destroyed. This area is considered to be the stronghold of Jaish-e-Mohammed and terrorist activities were being carried out against India for a long time. The Air Force also presented drone and satellite footage of the attack, in which the massive destruction in the target area can be clearly seen.
He said that along with this, another terrorist camp located in Muridke in Pakistan's Punjab province was also destroyed in a precise missile attack. This area is considered to be the stronghold of Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed.
Air Marshal Bharti said, "Choosing these two bases was very important from a strategic point of view, as they were located deep inside Pakistan's border." The Indian Air Force used advanced satellite imaging, intelligence-based targeting and precision munitions for these attacks. Air Marshal Bharti said, "We designed the operation in such a way that only the terrorist bases were targeted and no civilian was harmed."
