48 Resorts Closed in J&K: The Jammu and Kashmir government has closed dozens of resorts and many famous tourist places due to security concerns. Recently there was a terrorist attack in Pahalgam , in which 26 people were killed. This is why this decision has been taken.

In this beautiful area, known for its serene valleys and high mountains, around 48 resorts have been shut down. Many tourist spots like Dudhpatri and Verinag are now closed for tourists.

Know why this decision was taken

According to the information received, the Jammu and Kashmir government has taken this decision on the advice of security agencies. Intelligence agencies had warned about the possibility of terrorist attacks in Kashmir, due to which 48 out of 87 tourist places have been closed. Sources say that after the attack in Pahalgam, some hidden terrorists (sleeper cells) have become active in the valley and have received instructions to attack.

According to intelligence, the TRT (The Resistance Front) organization is planning to kill some specific people and launch a major attack to take revenge for the security forces blowing up the houses of terrorists after the Pahalgam attack. For this reason, special police teams and anti-fidayeen squads have been deployed at sensitive tourist places like Gulmarg, Sonamarg and Dal Lake. Usually, security is increased after terrorist incidents in the valley.

Know what will be its effect?

This attack can have an impact on every sector of Kashmir, but tourism can suffer the most. People who wanted to open hotels, start businesses or trade in fruits there may lose their confidence. This can weaken the economy of Kashmir, which was recovering a bit after many years of hard work. It can also have a bad effect on the income of the people of Kashmir.
