Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney looked unrecognisable after transforming into professional boxer Christy Martin for the upcoming movie, Christy. The Anyone But You star rose to fame onEuphoria as Cassieand went on to star in the likes of Madame Web, Immaculate, and The White Lotus.
Sydney went for a completely different role for Christy, where she plays the titular character. In new snaps from the movie, the star rocked a short brown wig, a mouth guard, a white vest, shorts and boxing gloves as she fought in the ring. In recent months, fans noticed how she underwent a huge body transformation for the role and gained a lot of muscle in order to accurately portray Christy.

The actress is usually known for her long blonde locks and sleek figure. Her new film is scheduled for released in September this year.
Professional boxer Christy, also known as The Coal Miner's Daughter, put women's boxing on the map after going against Deridre Gogarty at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in 1996.
The 56-year-old was on the cover of Sports Illustrated, appeared on talk shows for interviews and even popped up for cameos in sitcoms.
However, her life at home was a lot different as she suffered through 20 years of abuse at the hands of her husband, James 'Jim' Martin, who also trained her.
In late 2010, Jim stabbed her several times before shooting her in the torso. The horrific incident is said to have unfolded after a row at their home. Thankfully, she survived the attack.
He was sentenced to 25 years in prison after he was found guilty of attempted second-degree murder and manslaughter.
Christy went on to marry former boxer Lisa Holewyne in 2017. She previously spoke o Sydney taking on the role of her in an interview with TMZ.
She said: "I think she is young, hot, talented and about to make a movie that in 20+ years, fathers will watch with their daughters to make them aware of domestic violence.
"I want this movie to bring awareness to domestic violence, the challenge of sexuality and overall underdog story. I am a coal miner's daughter from a small town in southern West Virginia that made an impact in a sport that wasn’t taken seriously - women’s boxing."
