It's everyone's most dreaded household task - cleaning the oven. Ovens can become absolutely filthy in no time with grease, grime and food debris often burnt on for weeks before you can summon the courage to start scrubbing, reports the Express.
However, one woman has revealed her technique for getting her oven gleaming in minutes. What's more, she claims you don't need harsh chemicals or excessive elbow grease to make it work.
Tanya Mukendi, the 'Queen of Hacks', shared a video on her Instagram about this oven cleaning trick, explaining it both removes the grease from your oven and leaves it smelling fresh. There's no vigorous scrubbing required.
- I drove two hours to eat at James Martin's restaurant and was gobsmacked when bill came
- Bananas stay fresh for weeks and won't go brown if stored with 1 household item
In fact, Tanya's method requires the simplest of ingredients - water and citrus.
To try this technique, set your oven to its lowest temperature and allow it to heat up. Add water and lemon juice or orange peel into an oven-safe roasting dish.
Pop the dish into the warmed oven for 20 minutes, then remove it - wait until the oven has cooled enough to wipe the interior with a cloth.
Using a clean cloth, dip it into the solution and use this to wipe down the surfaces of your oven. The grease and grime should dissolve away.

Tanya also offered an alternative, using the same approach but substituting white vinegar for citrus to achieve the same outcome.
Users commenting on the post were delighted with the results, noting it made the house smell wonderful as well as getting the oven spotless.
One person commented: "Love this hack! Smells lush too," whilst another added: "Great way to use up orange peel, smells great too."
