Happy Valley actor James Nortonwas rushed to hospital with a broken collarbone after a terrible accident where he was thrown from a horse on the set of his brand new TV show, BBC series King and Conqueror.
James, 40, described the ordeal when he was speaking at the premiere and said the accident happened during rehearsals for the TV show, which is set around Britain's Battle of Hastings in 1066.
While he said the broken bone was ‘painful’ he described himself as ‘lucky’ due to the collarbone's quick recovery time. He said: “In some of the battle scenes in the latter half of the shoot, I’m yelping very loudly and the yelps are pretty authentic.
"I fell off a horse and I landed on my shoulder. Actually it was a remarkably quick recovery and it didn’t affect shooting.” It comes after David Beckham speaks 'as a father' in 'family' announcement after latest Brooklyn snub.

The actor added: “Luckily we dealt with it. The collarbone recovers very quickly. It was just quite painful”. Director Baltasar Kormákur admitted he thought the whole future of the series was hanging in the balance as he said: “I was at the hospital with him and there was like a moment - ‘we’re f***ed’.”
The actor, who plays Harold of Wessex alongside the Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as William of Normandy, also revealed a scene in which he bites the nose off an invader, which resulted in an extra having a heavily bandaged face as James was just ‘getting really into it’.
What was meant to be pretend, turned into reality as he said: “I literally bit his nose. The poor guy! I went through the skin. I was just getting really into it! It was a stroke of genius, it’s those moments that show you are in 11th century England and it’s brutal and it’s messy and violent and visceral.”
Saying he felt “terrible, he added: “The following day we had a stunt rehearsal and the guy came in with this huge bandage.”
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is highly known for his role as Jaime Lannister in Game of Thrones and King and Conqueror will also be the first time that he has directed.
Nikolaj praised the stunt team who appeared to go above and beyond to get the right shot. He shared: "These guys insane. The Icelandic guys, they're brilliant. I mean, there's one scene, the guy I'm fighting - he's in fights in the the big stuff - which is why I wanted to be the guy choking him out.
"There's this big, big guy - at one point, he lifts up James - early in the fight, he takes one of the other stunt guys and he throws him against this wagon. And that was planned but what wasn't planned was that he's thrown him so hard that he went through the wagon and he like completely crashed the whole thing. The sound you hear it's literally a guy being thrown through. But they just took it."
