Tesco's website went down this morning with frustrated supermarket customers unable to do their online shopping.
Outage tracker DownDetector shows the issues started around 8.30am this morning, with more than 1,200 people logging complaints about the Tesco website.
The technical glitch impacted both the Tesco website and app, but Tesco says the issue is now resolved. The supermarket did not reveal what caused the problem, but said its services were only "briefly" impacted.

Writing on X, previously known as Twitter, one shopper said: "Desperately need to add shopping to my nans order and the app and web is down. She’ll blame me if it’s not added. Help!"
Another said: "@Tesco app not working and online grocery site not working. Can’t spend my money!" A third commented: "@Tesco your app and online services are not letting me order a shop online or access any information, is there an issue?"
A fourth said: "Is there an issue with your app? It’s not working and seems to be a fairly big problem." Another person posted: "I'm trying to add to my order for tomorrow but webpage seems to have errors saying its us not you have been trying for 20 mins using different browsers but getting the same message."
A Tesco spokesperson said: “We’ve fixed a technical issue that very briefly affected our app and website earlier this morning. We apologise for the inconvenience.”
It comes after Tesco increased the price of its meal deal last month. For its Clubcard members, the cost of the popular lunchtime option has risen from £3.60 to £3.85. The price of a Tesco meal deal without a Clubcard has gone up from £4 to £4.25.
Currently the most popular items in the supermarket meal deal are the Tesco Chicken Club Sandwich for main, Tesco Egg Protein Pot as the snack, and Coca-Cola 500ml.
These would cost £6.50 when purchased separately, giving Clubcard members a saving of £2.65. The price of the premium Tesco meal deal has increased from £5 to £5.50 for those with a Clubcard, and from £5.50 to £6 for those without.
It marks the third time Tesco has raised the price of its meal deal for Clubcard members, and the fourth time for those who are not signed up to its loyalty scheme.
Initially, in February, the price rose from £3 to £3.50 for non-Clubcard members, while the Clubcard price remained at £3. Later that year in October, Tesco increased the price again, making it £3.40 for Clubcard holders and £3.90 for non-Clubcard holders.
It then rose again to £3.60 for Clubcard members, and £4 for those without, in August 2024. Tesco said it will be introducing new products into its premium meal deal in the coming days.
