PM Kisan Aadhaar name mismatch: If your name does not match the information you have given and the name in the Aadhaar card, then you will not be able to get the amount of Rs 6,000 under the PM Kisan Yojana. Learn here how you can correct it online.
Thousands of farmers are eagerly waiting for the 20th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan). All eligible landholder farmers registered under the PM Kisan Yojana get the necessary financial assistance through this government program. The Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system is used in this scheme, through which Rs 6,000 is deposited directly into the bank accounts of farmers every year.
So far, 19 installments have been deposited, the last of which was given on 24 February 2025. The 20th installment is expected to come in early July 2025. Farmers are advised to fulfil all the eligibility conditions to avoid any delay or rejection.
Aadhaar name mismatch may lead to payment delay: The beneficiary's name must match their Aadhaar details exactly to receive the installment. If there is any mistake in the name, such as misspelling or format mismatch, the payment will not be processed. To fix this problem, PM-Kisan beneficiaries will have to update their names as per the Aadhaar records.
E-KYC through mobile app: For this, the beneficiary will have to do face authentication through the mobile app or bio-authentication-based e-KYC at CSC centers. The PM Kisan website says, "Please do face authentication through mobile app or bio-authentication based e-KYC at CSC centers for name correction."
How to correct the name as per Aadhaar?: The government has made it easier for farmers to correct their names through digital authentication methods. According to the official PM-Kisan website, here is how you can update your name: Farmers can download the PM-Kisan App and start the correction process by completing face authentication. You can also do bio-authentication-based eKYC at CSC centres. Alternatively, beneficiaries can visit their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) and complete eKYC using biometric verification and do name correction.
How to complete Face Authentication e-KYC (Mobile App): Download the PM-Kisan Mobile App and the Aadhaar Face RD App from the Google Play Store. Open the PM-Kisan App and log in with your registered mobile number. Go to the Beneficiary Status section. If e-KYC status is showing "No", click on 'e-KYC'. Enter your Aadhaar number and allow face scan. Once your face is successfully scanned, e-KYC will be completed. Please note that e-KYC status will be updated on the portal within 24 hours of successful completion through any mode.
