caught the attention of golf fans with his very own moment at the . The big-hitting American is among the contenders at Quail Hollow after finding his feet in the second round. He carded a three-under 68 to make the cut and will be hoping to climb up the leaderboard on Saturday.
At one point, DeChambeau had to navigate a couple of tall trees after landing in the rough with an errant tee shot. He managed to get out of trouble, but it was a bizarre moment after he struck the ball which had people talking. The reigning US Open champion turned sideways and broke into a crouched walk, which looked like something out of Indiana Jones.

Fans on social media were left in stitches, with @PaoloUggetti posting on X (formerly Twitter): "Why did he turn into Indiana Jones after he hit the ball?" @michaelfordgolf added: "Thought I was the only one who thought that."
"He hit stealth mode like he is playing a video game," wrote @EagleHasLand3d, while @foreleftist joked: "Found the guy they motion-capped for every video game."
Others thought DeChambeau was doing his best Michael Jackson impression, with @JeffHurdaCow writing: "Looking like the Thriller music video out there." @MindOfDharma, meanwhile, quipped: "Why is he moving like my cat when she hears a loud noise?"
It comes after DeChambeau laid out his credentials for PGA Championship glory, a year after losing to Xander Schauffele by just one stroke in heartbreaking fashion.
"I think a 65 or a 64 is out there," he said after finishing his second round. "I almost shot it and I definitely saw it out there, I just didn't accomplish it.
"It was a weird day, much like yesterday. I felt like I was playing good, just didn't get anything out of it. That's what this golf course does to you. It was tricky with the wind kind of swirling, but for the most part, I felt pretty good.
"It's a great test. I've just got to have my putting a little more on and keep playing the way I am. It easily could be seven, eight under right now, or I could be even par, so I'll just keep moving along."
The start of play on day three of the PGA Championship was delayed by several hours due to severe thunderstorms in the area. Sam Burns and Max Greyserman were just about to tee off when the horn sounded to urge everyone to seek shelter.
