Catherine Zeta-Jones let her daughter, Carys Zeta Douglas, dive deep into her iconic wardrobe for a special 21st birthday outfit.

Carys celebrated her special day in style, wearing her mother's pink ensemble from the 1999 MTV Movie Awards. That was the same year Catherine, 54, received a nomination for the Best Breakthrough Performance award for her role in The Mask of Zorro.

Bearing a striking resemblance to her famous mum, Carys showed off the sophisticated look on Instagram.

She complemented the outfit with chic jewellery and high heels and styled her hair in loose curls - which added extra dash of maternal resemblance.

Carys was radiant in her celebratory pictures, one of which included a sweet moment where a friend placed a peck on her cheek while she held a flower. She gushed in her Instagram: "The most perfect 21st I could ask for," followed by a response from Catherine stating: "You deserve it sweetheart."

In a touching tribute, Catherine posted throwback pictures of her daughter on over her own Instagram account - Carys is the actress' second child that she shares with husband Michael Douglas. Alongside the photos, Catherine wrote: "Happy Birthday to my beautiful daughter @carys.douglas You are the joy of my life."

"21 years of watching you blossom into the most incredible woman you are today is a God given gift that I never take for granted and cherish every day of my life. Thank you for being you. I love you with all my heart Mama," she added, followed by a string of heart emojis.

This comes after Catherine's announcement that Wales is rallying behind Princess Kate after her cancer diagnosis. The Welsh actress took to social media following the revelation from Catherine, Princess of Wales, 42.
