M1 traffic LIVE: Long queues as police close motorway due to incident

The M1 is currently closed in Bedfordshire due to an incident. Bedfordshire Police are on the scene, while National Highways Traffic Officers are assisting with traffic management.

The busy motorway has been closed in both directions between junction 12 and junction 13 due to what the National Highways is describing as a police led incident. Motorists are being told to expect delays and diversion routes have been published.
