Prince Harry was under pressure after a charity of which he is a board member was slammed as "disrespectful" by the African country of Chad, which cut ties with the organisation just days before the Duke received an award for his humanitarian work. Meghan Markle and Harry accepted an award as "Humanitarians of the Year" at the glitzy Project Healthy Minds gala in New York City last night.

But just days earlier, the charity African Parks, which is partially run by Prince Harry, was slammed as "recurring indelicate and disrespectful attitude toward the Government". The charity manages 22 national parks and protected areas across 12 countries, including two wildlife reserves in Chad. Speaking on Palace Confidential, royal expert Rebecca English called the move "very unwelcome" for Prince Harry and said it "could not have come at a worse time" for the Duke. African Parks said it is in talks to "better understand the government's position".
