While Sony was always going to struggle against Xbox Game Pass in September, the company has come out fighting with another really good PS Plus line-up for Essential subscribers.
Available from September 2, the PS Plus Essentials include the superb Psychonauts 2, as well as first-person puzzle game Viewfinder.
If that wasn't good enough, Sony has also confirmed plans to bring ultra-addictive cozy game Stardew Valley to the service in September.
Stardew Valley begins with your character inheriting the family farm, although there's so much more to it than simply growing crops and feeding animals.
You'll need to form relationships with your fellow villagers, attend town festivals, visit the neighbouring area, go fishing, head down the mines or simply wonder around foraging for items. It's wonderful.
The game is hugely popular among gamers, earning overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam.
"You've inherited your grandfather's old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life. Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home? It won't be easy. Ever since Joja Corporation came to town, the old ways of life have all but disappeared. The community center, once the town's most vibrant hub of activity, now lies in shambles. But the valley seems full of opportunity. With a little dedication, you might just be the one to restore Stardew Valley to greatness!"
