Still can't get over the exquisite costumes of Heeramandi? Looks like even before the Netflix original could hit our screens, designer duo Rimple and Harpreet have already bagged the second biggest project of the year. Yep, we are talking about Ranbir Kapoor starrer Ramayana.

Renowned designer duo Rimple and Harpreet have been tapped to design the costumes for the highly anticipated mythological film Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. And with, the two have added yet another high-profile project to their impressive portfolio.

Rimple and Harpreet are known to have designed for Padmaavat, Housefull 4 and recently, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. With Ramayana under their belt, they have officially grabbed headlines for the second time this year.


Rimple and Harpreet To Design Costumes For Ramayana

In an interview with IANS, Rimple expressed happiness, stating, "We are absolutely elated and honoured to be entrusted with the monumental task of designing costumes for the upcoming historical movie, Ramayana."


"This opportunity feels like a true blessing, as the Ramayana holds unparalleled significance in our country's cultural heritage," Rimple added.

Calling it a 'huge responsibility', Harpreet said, "Ramayana not only embodies the essence of timeless values and virtues but also serves as a guiding light for generations." "We are deeply committed to bringing forth the richness and intricacy of this epic tale through our designs, paying homage to its profound impact on our collective consciousness," Rimple concluded.

The film, which has been generating buzz for months now, recently made waves when photos from its sets surfaced online. These images quickly went viral on social media platforms, showcasing actors Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in character attire and makeup.

The star-studded cast includes Ranbir Kapoor set to portray Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Lara Dutta taking on the role of Kaikeyi, and Arun Govil appearing as Raja Dashrath.
