iPhone 17's alleged viral video offers look at Apple's 2025 iPhone lineup

Send Push
Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 17 series in a few months. New leaked details about the upcoming iPhone lineup have surfaced as the launch date gets closer. A new leaked video featuring dummy units shows that Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 lineup is expected to bring one of the biggest design shifts in years. The latest video shows off design tweaks that may set the iPhone 17 range apart from the current iPhone 16 series. Here are all the details about the changes that are expected to arrive in the iPhone 17 series and how different it may look from the iPhone 16 series:

iPhone 17 may come with a major redesign: What to expect

The iPhone 17 Pro is expected to feature a new rear "camera bar.” Meanwhile, a slimmer, ultra-thin model, which may be named iPhone 17 Slim or iPhone 17 Air , could also debut with a similar look. However, it's important to note that several similar dummy units have appeared online, and each new video offers subtle details.

The latest video by AppleTrack places the leaked iPhone 17 units alongside the iPhone 16, giving viewers a closer sense of how the 2025 iPhones may feel in the hand.

The highly anticipated iPhone 17 Air is expected to be significantly thinner than the current iPhone 16 Pro. To compare, the iPhone 16 Pro measures 8.25mm in thickness, while the ultra-slim iPhone 17 Air is rumoured to come in at just 5.5mm or 5.6mm.

The video also reveals some interesting design choices for the iPhone 17 Air, including port and speaker placement. Notably, the USB-C port isn’t centred—it appears to sit closer to the back edge of the device. Additionally, the phone features fewer speaker holes than the iPhone 16, suggesting Apple may have made a few trade-offs to achieve the slimmer profile.

As for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, the dummy units shown in the video look largely similar to the iPhone 16 Pro, aside from the standout rear “camera bar” design. These mockups are made up of a separate backplate and midframe, just like the current generation, and do not reflect the rumoured glass-metal unibody design that could enable reverse wireless charging.

While it’s possible these dummies aren’t based on final prototypes, most of the leaked CAD files and renders align with what’s shown in this video.
