NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Tuesday, attacked the Congress and claimed that the party is "plotting to send Ram Lalla to the tent again".

Addressing an election rally in Jharkhand 's Giridih, PM Modi said, "Shameful statements are being issued by Congress leaders over Ram temple. Their leaders are plotting to send Ram Lalla to the tent once again, and talk against the Supreme Court judgement."

He also alleged that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha ( JMM ) and INDIA bloc have become the biggest model of corruption, appeasement and dynastic politics.

Prior to the Supreme Court's judgement on Ram Mandir, the old idol of Ram lalla was kept in a tent-like structure after the Babri Masjid was demolished. In 2019, the Supreme Court allowed the construction of the Ram temple at Ayodhya's disputed site and also ordered the administration to provide a separate plot of land for a grand mosque.

They want to lock the premises again, PM Modi claimed and urged people to oust such "corrupt" forces.

PM Modi said, "Congress forced the nation to Naxalism , whereas BJP contained Naxal violence in the country."

He also promised that during his third term as the prime minister, he would wipe out "Naxalism and terrorism" from the face of the country.

PM Modi accused the JMM-led ruling alliance in Jharkhand of harboring infiltrators in the state.

He emphasized that his foremost agenda would be to prioritize the welfare of deprived individuals.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister hailed the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu & Kashmir as one of the nation's most significant measures, expressing satisfaction that residents could partake in the democratic process on Monday after many years.

The Srinagar constituency witnessed voting on Monday in the first Lok Sabha election held in the Valley since the revocation of Article 370.
